All buyers who wish to physically view assets located at high-security state protected sites, are required as a legal requirement from the Zimbabwe Power Company to submit upon registration via the Online Auction Platform, their personal identification details to facilitate the necessary statutory pre clearance. These details include Name and National ID Number for local buyers and Name and Passport Number for international buyers, plus a copy of the passport details page. Once approved, all visitors must wear PPE including safety shoes, helmets, reflective work suits for access.

2. How to deposit Money?
You need to have paid the prescribed deposit for you to participate. The deposit is paid by following steps:
a. Click on MY ACCOUNT – and go to the FCA Wallet
b. Enter deposit amount to deposit – proceed
c. “You will be redirected to the Contipay Page
d. Choose your payment option (e.g Visa/Master Card, Ecocash FCA or RTGS FCA)
e. Enter your card details and confirm payment
f. A successful deposit payment will update your E-wallet balance
g. Second option is to contact Hammer and Tongues Harare or Bulawayo and physically deposit the cash. After a successful deposit, then start bidding

4. Where can I physically view the assets
a. The assets are located at various ZPC stations ie. Hwange, Kariba, Munyati, Bulawayo and Harare
b. Please note you need to be cleared first before visiting the sites. Submit your personal details to Hammer and Tongues.
5. How do I place a bid?
a. Select auction location i.e Kariba, Hwange, Munyati, Bulawayo or Harare
b. View auction lots
c. Select desired lot
d. Place your bid
e. After placing a bid you will receive a notification confirming your placed bid via email and WhatsApp.
f. If you are outbid, you will receive a message notification with the new highest bid for that particular item
6. What if I am too busy to place a bid?
a. Use the auto bid function available on each lot.
7. How do I know I have won?
a. If you have won an auction, a notification will be sent to both your email and Whatsapp with the description of the item won and offered winning price.
8. What time do I have to settle my bids once the auction sale closes?
a. You have 48 hours to pay for your auction bids from the time the auction closes.
9. What other additional charges do I pay on top of my bid prices?
A 10% Purchaser’s levy and 14.5% VAT will be added on top of the bid price.
10. How do I collect my items?
a. Upon completion of payment and issuing of invoice you can collect using the invoice.
11. How do I withdraw my deposit?
a. You can withdraw your deposit once all auction conditions are met. Click the Withdraw Deposit button under My Account to get your refund processed.
12. Is my money safe?
All transaction are done through Contipay which is an advanced e-commerce payment gateway, it is 3D secure (MasterCard secure code and verified by Visa) supported. Fraud screening supported 3rd party risk services providers. - Harare
